Initial exams are performed in the exam / consultation room. Dr. Serff will listen to your concerns, perform a brief examination, and let you know if orthodontic treatment is right for you. If braces are required to improve your smile, a comprehensive exam, including digital X-rays / pictures, and molds of your teeth are obtained to study your specific need. After reviewing the orthodontic records taken, a 30 minute consultation using the latest in computer software imaging is scheduled to review your needs. This allows you to be aware of your specific treatment goals, as well as provide input for your new smile.
Models of your teeth are reconstructed digitally to be stored in your chart on our computer system. Your initial models can be retrieved with the click of a button at any treatment chair in the office.
All X-ray images are taken using digital imaging. This means less radiation exposure, as well as extremely vivid images.
