Grab a brush and take time to clean your teeth and appliances. Once you have been called to the treatment bay, Dr. Serff will check your teeth to see how well you are doing at keeping everything clean with braces on. It takes more time and effort to clean your teeth properly with braces. If oral hygiene can be improved, we will show you areas to improve on. We will remove your wires prior to your adjustment and give you time to brush and floss your teeth again.
Oral hygiene is extremely important while you are wearing braces. Discoloration and even cavities can develop more easily on teeth that have orthodontic appliances attached. We make every effort to work with patients to ensure your smile is as beautiful as it can be.
